Complete this task
- Who can do it
- Organisation administrators.
- Before you start
- Create the relevant units first, and have each person's unique work email and reporting line ready.
- Where to go
- Open People from the organisation administration navigation.
- Steps
- 1. Select Add person, or open an existing person record.
- 2. Confirm work email, role, unit, supervisor and account status.
- 3. Save the record, then send an invitation only when the reporting line is correct.
- Completion
- The person appears in People with the saved unit, role, supervisor and invitation status.
What the People page controls
The People page holds the staff details used throughout Alignis. A person's role, unit, supervisor, designation, and status affect what they can open, sign, review, or approve.
Before sending an invitation
Check the person's details before inviting them. This prevents duplicate accounts and keeps review routes clear.
- Use the person's current work email.
- Do not reuse an email that already belongs to another user.
- Assign a unit if the person will lead or act for that unit.
- Select the correct supervisor before reviews or appraisals begin.
- Keep designation and job title clear enough to display well in the header and profile.
When someone changes role
Update the person record first, then update leadership or review responsibilities. Existing records keep their history. New records use the updated person details.
